Eric R. Hutchinson

Eric Hutchinson is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the nonprofit and arts sectors. Currently serving as the Director of Development for the Hartford Symphony Orchestra since January 2020, Eric is dedicated to enhancing the organization's financial foundation through corporate and foundation support. As the Chief Executive Officer of Rob the Drummer Educational Programs, Eric leads initiatives aimed at combating substance abuse and bullying, utilizing a beloved children's character to connect with young audiences. Prior roles include leadership positions at the Wallingford Family YMCA, YMCA of Greater Hartford, and the New Britain-Berlin YMCA, as well as directing award-winning musical ensembles at Rockville High School. Eric holds a Bachelor's Degree in Professional Music from Berklee College of Music, specializing in education, performance, and songwriting.
