Gauri Sood

Gauri Sood is currently the Head Forum Editor for Harvard Independent and holds multiple editorial roles, including Associate Forum Editor and Copy Editor. As a Peer Counselor for Indigo Peer Counseling, Gauri focuses on intersectionality and mental health through student volunteer-based counseling. Gauri also serves as a Research Assistant to Professor Jon Hanson with the Systemic Justice Project and contributes as a Staff Writer for the Harvard Political Review. In the Institute of Politics at Harvard Kennedy School, Gauri assumes the roles of Director of Marketing and Design and Team Lead for Technology Policy. Additionally, Gauri is a Research Assistant to Professor John Weisz at the Harvard Lab for Youth Mental Health and co-founded HappiGenius, which offers a social and emotional learning program. Previous experiences include an internship at Latham & Watkins and volunteering with La Colaborativa, assisting underserved communities. Gauri is pursuing education at Harvard University, following a high school diploma from Mayo Senior High School.
