Marc Goodheart has extensive experience in higher education administration and law, currently serving as Vice President and Secretary of Harvard University since December 1991. Previously held roles at Harvard University include Secretary of the University and Assistant to the President, as well as University Attorney. Prior to their long tenure at Harvard, Marc Goodheart practiced law as an Associate Attorney at Hill & Barlow and worked as a law clerk for Judge Stephen Breyer at the U.S. Court of Appeals. Marc Goodheart earned a Juris Doctor degree from Harvard Law School and an A.B. in Physics from Harvard College.
