Machine Vision Engineer at Harvest Croo

Santosh Bhusal has worked in various roles in the field of robotics and engineering since 2011. Santosh began their career as a Teaching Assistant at the College of Biomedical Engineering and Applied Sciences in Kathmandu in 2011. In 2014, they became a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. In 2016, they moved to Washington State University and took on the role of Associate in Research at the Center for Precision and Automated Agricultural System (CPAAS). In 2017, they became a Graduate Research Assistant at Washington State University, where they worked on projects to deter birds using Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) drones, develop an automated robotic solution for cane bundling and tying in red raspberry plants, and explore other onboard bird deterrent strategies. Currently, they are a Machine Vision Engineer at Harvest CROO Robotics.

Santosh Bhusal attained a Bachelor's Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Tribhuvan University, Institute of Engineering, Nepal in 2011. Santosh then went on to get a Master of Science (MS) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas in 2016. Finally, Santosh Bhusal earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biological System Engineering from Washington State University, Pullman Washington in 2020.
