Nathaniel Stokoe

Nathaniel Stokoe is a founding engineer at Glean. Nathaniel previously worked as a lead software engineer at Full Measure Education Inc. from June 2014 to October 2019. During their time at Full Measure Education, Nathaniel participated in requirements and design reviews, provided technical perspective on level of effort, complexity and design consistency, and mentored and tasked junior and senior engineers through pair programming, pull request reviews, bug/story assignment and recommendations and discussions on design approach. Nathaniel also trained deployment engineers how submit apps to the iOS App Store and Google Play Store and how to manage external acceptance testing through Testflight Beta and Google Play Beta. In addition, Nathaniel taught content generation staff how to configure Facebook applications for iOS and Android apps in order to create Facebook Ads with Deferred Deeplinking. Nathaniel led software development efforts on Full Measure Education's hybrid mobile applications using Gitlab CI, HAML, Pug, Gulp, CoffeeScript, Typescript, Ionic, and Cordova. As a senior software engineer at Full Measure Education, Nathaniel contributed to the entire Full Measure Education stack as dictated by product backlog priorities, using Angular, CoffeeScript, HAML, Ruby on Rails and SQL. Nathaniel wrote automated tests to maintain 100% code coverage across all Gitlab repositories using rSpec, Karma, jMeter, Travis Continuous Integration, and Code Climate. Nathaniel also monitored and triaged development operations on our infrastructure using AWS, Gitlab CI, Kubernetes, Grafana, Docker, Scout, and Honeybadger. Nathaniel participated in weekly product demos and sprint planning meetings, leading the retrospective discussion and recording.

Nathaniel Stokoe has a Master's of Science in Computer Science from The Johns Hopkins University as well as a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Cornell University.
