Gus Charteris

Gus Charteris is an experienced professional with a strong background in economic development, policy integration, and recovery management. Currently serving as Manager of Cyclone Recovery at Hastings District Council since September 2023, Gus previously held the position of Director at Gus Charteris Consulting from June 2021 to September 2023. Prior experience includes serving as Economic Development Manager at Giblin Group, General Manager of the Just Transitions Unit at the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment, and multiple roles within the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, culminating as Head of Research. Gus holds a Bachelor of Business Studies (Hons) in Economics from Massey University.
