Rolando Herrera Sánchez

Senior SQL Developer at HatchWorks

Rolando Herrera Sánchez has a diverse work experience in the field of IT. Rolando started their career as a SQL Developer at Bad Cow Development in 2014 and later moved on to work as a Software Developer at EX2 Outcoding. In this role, they primarily worked as a .NET and SQL Developer and was responsible for creating DevExpress and SSRS Reports. Rolando also worked on compliance rules using C# and SQL and utilized JIRA for project management. After their tenure at EX2 Outcoding, Rolando joined Equifax Costa Rica as a SQL Developer, where they focused on SQL development. Rolando then transitioned to Intertec International as a SQL Developer before becoming a Professor of Informatics at Universidad de Costa Rica UCR in 2018. Rolando also served as a Professor of Computer Engineering at Universidad Internacional de las Américas until July 2021. Currently, they are working as a Senior SQL Developer at HatchWorks.

Rolando Herrera Sánchez has a diverse education history starting with their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the Universidad de Costa Rica UCR, which they obtained from 2010 to 2014. Rolando then pursued a Licentiate degree in Computer/Information Technology Administration and Management from the Universidad Latina de Costa Rica, which they completed from 2015 to 2016.

Rolando further expanded their knowledge and skills in the field of data science by pursuing a Master's degree in Data Science from the Universidad Cenfotec. Rolando studied there from 2018 to 2022. Additionally, from 2020 to 2021, they obtained a Posgrado (a postgraduate degree) in Artificial Intelligence from the same institution.

In addition to their formal education, Rolando has also obtained various certifications to enhance their expertise. Rolando completed the MongoDB - The Complete Developer's Guide 2023 certification from Udemy in January 2023, as well as The complete SQL Bootcamp: Go From Zero to Hero certification from the same platform in the same month and year. Furthermore, they achieved the Scrum Fundamentals Certified (SFC) certification from CertiProf in March 2022, followed by the Scrum Master Certified (SMC) certification from the same institution in the same month and year.
