Bernard Bourgaux has a strong background in IT and business development. Bernard has held various key positions throughout their career. From 1994 to 1995, Bernard worked as a Technico-Commercial at Video Alarm Technologies, where they focused on sales and setup of security access systems. Bernard then joined Space and Technologies in 1995 as an IT Technician and trainer, providing ICT services for the Prepress and printing industry. In 1997, Bernard co-founded Paragraphe SPRL, a small ICT services company and Apple reseller, where they served as an IT Field Technician and also worked in a commercial role. In 1999, they became an ICT and Prepress Consultant at LAIS/Beneholding S.A, where they became the distributor of Xinet products in the Benelux, developed the market, and set up a distribution network. From 2004 to 2014, Bernard worked at Abaque S.A. as an ICT and Prepress consultant, providing advice to advertising agencies, marketing departments, and printers, among others. During this time, they also implemented a specialized support desk for Xinet customers in the Benelux. In 2004, Bernard joined Havas Worldwide Brussels as a Creative Technology Supervisor, where they managed Mac and PC workstations, servers, and the network infrastructure, as well as provided training to users and management. In 2014, they transitioned to Aproove as a Business Development, Senior Aproove specialist, implementing and managing sales strategies and identifying new business opportunities. Currently, Bernard works at Havas as the Head of IT Benelux, responsible for managing IT operations in Brussels and Amsterdam offices. Bernard ensures the availability and security of production systems, collaborates with international working groups to define IT standards, and manages the local IT teams. Additionally, they oversee budget control and asset disposal/renewal, deploys and maintains IT ticketing systems, and organizes trainings for users on various tools.
Bernard Bourgaux has a bachelor's degree in international commerce from the Ecole Pratique des Hautes Etudes Commerciales, which they obtained from 1990 to 1993. Bernard also studied economics at the Ichec Brussels Management School in 1989. Additionally, Bernard has engaged in continuous learning throughout their education. Bernard has obtained several certifications including "Managing Self-Doubt to Tackle Bigger Challenges," "The Surprising Science of Meetings," "How to Set Goals When Everything Feels Like a Priority," "How to Stop Wasting Time in Meetings," and "Fundamentals of Search Marketing."
