Jonathan Lay

Jonathan Lay has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Jonathan is currently working as a Director at Sapia.ai since December 2022. In their previous role, they served as a Senior Vice President in the Venture Capital Group at Macquarie Group starting in November 2014.

Throughout their career, Jonathan has also held positions in other organizations such as Bookipi, where they served as an Angel Investor starting in September 2020; FoodByUs, where they worked as an Investment Manager & Board Observer since June 2016; and RecordPoint and Haventec, where they held the roles of Investment Manager & Board Observer since November 2015 and October 2015, respectively.

In addition to their corporate experience, Jonathan has also been involved in academia. Jonathan worked as a Casual Lecturer at Macquarie University from August 2015.

Jonathan Lay attended Ryan Catholic College for their primary and secondary education. After completing their secondary education, they pursued a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree at The University of Queensland from 2007 to 2011, where they also studied Commerce (Finance). Additionally, in 2011, they briefly attended The University of Manchester to further their studies in law.
