Daryl Atley Zakov

Daryl Atley Zakov is currently serving as Senior Associate General Counsel at Hawaiian Electric since June 2023. Previously, Daryl worked as Assistant Attorney General in the Civil Division for the State of Alaska, focusing on the Alaska International Airports System from June 2020 to August 2022. Before that, experience as Senior Counsel at Womble Bond Dickinson (US) LLP involved advising clients on commercial and transactional matters. Daryl also spent a decade at Bennet & Bennet, PLLC, providing legal supervision and advocacy for communications, technology, and media clients, with a specific focus on telecommunications agreements. Earlier roles include managing wholesale roaming and corporate development at T-Mobile and serving as Executive Assistant and Analyst at Cook Inlet VoiceStream PCS. Daryl holds a JD from the University of Dayton School of Law and a BA in Political Science from Kenyon College.
