Megan Nel

Megan Nel currently serves as the Interim General Manager of Investment & Capital Planning for the Central Region at Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, a position held since May 2024. Prior experience includes serving as the Programme Director for the Hawke's Bay Hospital Redevelopment at Te Whatu Ora Te Matau a Māui Hawke's Bay from February 2022 to May 2024, and as Principal Advisor in the Office of the Director-General at the Ministry of Health New Zealand in late 2018. Megan's consultancy background includes roles at PricewaterhouseCoopers Advisory as Manager and Senior Analyst in Management Consulting, advising public sector clients primarily within the health sector. Additionally, Megan worked as an Analyst at New Zealand Treasury, focusing on strategic advice for the Government's annual Budget, and as an Industrial Relations Adviser for the Ministry of Education, leading negotiations and developing workforce policies. Megan holds a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree from Victoria University of Wellington.
