Roland is a Director at Hawkins\Brown with a background in venue design, major projects and multi-disciplinary working. Roland has experience in the technical and delivery side of complex projects.

At Hawkins\Brown Roland lead the façade engineering team on the Royal College of Surgeons, a landmark building in Lincoln’s Inn Fields, London. Roland joined the Hawkins\Brown Infrastructure studio to work on Crossrail projects at Liverpool Street Station, Tottenham Court Road and Bond Street sites. Furthermore, he is the Technical Director for the Thames Tideway Tunnel, London, across six central sites along the River Thames.

Roland is an architect with over 20 years of experience on UK and international projects covering a range of specialisms and sectors, notably sports and stadia. He previously worked with Arup Associates and was part of the team that then formed the multi-discipline ArupSport. He joined Denton Corker Marshall in the UK to broaden his range of experience and understanding of dedicated architectural practise. At AECOM he returned to sports architecture and involvement in international venue design, before turning to Façade Engineering.

He is outgoing and likes to get involved with the project team challenges combining the technical and design resolution. Roland believes in leading by example. Alongside the home time he enjoys with his kids; travelling, wheels and whisky figure highly in life.
