Bill Edwards

Bill Edwards has extensive work experience in the financial and cybersecurity sectors. Bill is currently working as the Chief Information Officer at Hawthorn Bank since 2020. Prior to this, they served as the EVP, CIO & Chief Innovation Officer at Midwest BankCentre from 2017 to 2019. Bill was responsible for leading cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, networking, telecom, and customer support efforts. Before that, they held the position of Chief Operating Officer/Chief Financial Officer at Global Velocity from 2010 to 2017. Bill was a senior management team member and actively participated in fundraising efforts and sales presentations. From 2003 to 2010, they worked at Orchard Software, where they served as the President/Chief Executive Officer and later as COO/CFO. Bill implemented software development and quality assurance best practices and successfully transitioned the company from public to private. Before joining Orchard Software, they worked at G. A. Sullivan as the Chief Operating Officer/Chief Financial Officer from 1996 to 2003. Bill started their career at Grant Thornton, where they held various positions, including Partner and Senior Manager, from 1986 to 1996.

Bill Edwards has an MBA in Finance from Saint Louis University and a BSBA in Business with a minor in Computer Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Bill also has a Security Clearance certification from Top Secret institution.
