Emilė R. has an extensive work experience spanning from 2017 to 2021. In 2021, they are Co-Founder and CEO of Samphire Neuroscience, a company building wearable neurotechnology medical device solutions for women's health and lifestyle needs. Emilė is also a Portfolio Company Founder at HAX, completing a fellowship in rapid prototyping, development, and management of novel hardware and software devices. In 2020, they were Co-Founder and Co-Director of the Integrative Neuroscience Association, where they brought to life Lithuania's first Memory cafes, Shamiri's protocol for the "Youth to Youth" programme, and the first evidence-based psychological education programme based at Lithuania's modern art museum "Mo". Emilė is also a Visiting Lecturer at Kaunas University of Technology. In 2019, they were a Special Project Lead and Strategy Intern at Healthy London Partnership, where they created a health index and benchmarking analysis of global cities’ health to inform goal-setting for London to become the healthiest global city. Emilė also worked on the two-year evaluation of Good Thinking, London's digital mental wellbeing resource, and the design and pilot of a digital health passport for young Londoners. In 2017, they were a Senior Student Guide and Student Guide at Harvard Art Museums, a Peer Tutor Fellow and Peer Tutor at Harvard Bureau of Study Counsel, and an Emergency Medical Technician at Pro EMS. In 2016, they were a Project Manager and Project Intern at UAB Luno, where they worked on EU grant applications for a project to develop software for customizable protein synthesis and a project to design a prototype of vegan "meat" using inulin fibers. Finally, in 2017, they were Chief, Service Officer, Crew Officer, and Training Officer at Harvard CrimsonEMS, where they oversaw and led CrimsonEMS, Harvard’s independent, student-run, volunteer emergency medical service. During their tenure, they supervised the launch of the Stop the Bleed outreach program, focused a Mental Health Taskforce on outreach and internal skill development across the organization, re-organized board operations for higher inclusivity, and extended communications and operating procedures.
Emilė R. graduated from Harvard University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts (A.B.) in Neuroscience and Social Anthropology, summa cum laude. Emilė then went on to pursue their education at the University of Oxford, where they obtained a Master of Science - MS in Neuroscience in 2021, followed by a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Neurobiology and Neurosciences in 2024.
