Lucas L. Lopez Serrano

Lucas L. Lopez Serrano has held various positions in the IT industry since 2000. Lucas L. began their career as an ICT Responsible at Hamelset, S.L. in 2000, where they were responsible for the ICT infrastructure and website of the small company, as well as performing some office duties such as accounting assistance and documentation. In 2006, Lucas began working at Ericsson as a Process Developer, where they performed a software development process alignment and improvement for the R&D unit in a 8 months duration project. Lucas L. then moved on to Universitat Pompeu Fabra in 2010, where they worked as a Researcher, focusing on the research of artificial olfaction mechanisms based in the insect’s olfactory neural pathways. In 2008, Lucas became an IT Consultant and Researcher for several companies. In 2019, Lucas co-founded Volatile AI, where they are currently the CTO, and also became a Founder in Residence at HAX and a EF LD12 Cohort Member at Entrepreneur First.

Lucas L. Lopez Serrano obtained their Computer Systems Engineering degree from Universidad de Zaragoza between 2000 and 2009. Lucas L. then obtained their Bachelor in Information Technology degree from Avans University of Applied Sciences between 2005 and 2006. Lastly, they obtained their M.Sc. Cognitive Systems and Interactive Media degree from Universitat Pompeu Fabra between 2009 and 2011.
