María Marcuello

María Marcuello, Ph.D., is a seasoned researcher in the field of biomedical science, currently serving as Project Lead R&D and Staff Scientist at HAYA Therapeutics, a Swiss biopharmaceutical company focused on innovative RNA-based therapies for fibrotic diseases. Prior to this role, María conducted translational cancer research at the Institut d’Investigacions Biomèdiques August Pi i Sunyer, after serving as a Staff Scientist at Amadix, where contributions included the development of a microRNA-based test for colorectal cancer. María's earlier experience also includes a research assistant position at the Barcelona Biomedical Research Park and a master's thesis internship at Parc Científic de Barcelona. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Medicine and Translational Research from Universitat de Barcelona, along with specialized training in clinical trials from Johns Hopkins University and a master's degree in Advanced Immunology.
