Carrie Smith-Humfress is currently the Head of Talent at Haylo Ventures, where Carrie is involved in accelerating deep tech commercialization with a technology focus on Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, Advanced Materials Science, Nanotechnology, Photonics, Sensors, AI & ML. Prior to their current role, Carrie held positions as the Head of Talent at Phoelex and as a Talent Acquisition Manager at WaveOptics. Carrie also has experience in international executive search consultancy and technical recruitment. Carrie holds a Certificate in higher education in Biological Science from the University of Plymouth and a Diploma in Animal Management from Bridgewater College Paignton Centre.
