Jim Freyer Jr.

Jim has served Haylor, Freyer & Coon, Inc. and the insurance industry for over 25 years. Jim oversees the overall operation of the Agency and also holds a position as a representative for our international partnership with Assurex Global. As CEO, he drives the vision and mission of the Agency and is proud to work along side 200 employee owners (ESOP) in nine offices.

Prior to his role as CEO, Jim held a position as Executive Vice President and Director of the Manufactured Housing Division, where he made a lasting imprint. Jim continues as CEO of MHD Empire Service Corp., a licensed mortgage broker specializing in the manufactured housing industry. Jim’s focused work on new business sales and specialized work in the industry aided in expanding MHD in twenty-one states.

Jim is a past member of the Hanover Insurance Company National Agents Council. He is also past President of the New York Housing Association and has been the New York delegate to the Manufactured Housing Institute in Washington DC. In 2003, he was recognized by the Pennsylvania Manufactured Housing Association and received the President’s Award for his service to the industry.

In 1984, Jim graduated from SUNY at Geneseo with a Bachelor of Arts. Jim became a certified insurance counselor in 1996 and holds a broker license in all states.

Jim is dedicated to the communities that Haylor serves and maintains active involvement. He is a Board member of the United Way, Success by 6 and is actively involved with Young Life, a faith-based youth program.

Jim has been a lifelong resident of the Syracuse area where he resides with his wife, Shari, and their three daughters. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing, boating in the Thousand Islands and skiing.
