Jose Lima

Jose Lima has over 27 years of work experience in various roles and industries. Jose is currently the Vice President of Operations at Hayward Gordon | EBARA Corporation, where they lead a team of 80 employees and oversees all aspects of operations. Prior to this, Jose worked as a Faculty Member at Centennial College and Sheridan College, where they taught and developed courses related to aerospace manufacturing and quality management. Jose also served as the Chief Operating Officer at Dishon Limited, where they managed a team of 90 employees and was responsible for operations budget, shipments, and product integration. Earlier in their career, Jose held positions such as Director of Operations at Magellan Aerospace and CNC Engineer at deHavilland Aircraft Co. Overall, Jose has a strong background in operations management, lean manufacturing techniques, and teaching in the manufacturing and aerospace industries.

Jose Lima's education history begins in 1977 when they obtained a Professional Engineer degree in Civil Engineering and Structures from USP - Universidade de São Paulo. In 1984, they earned a certificate in Computer Technology/Computer Systems Technology from the Institute of Space Research, and in 1987, they obtained a certificate in Artificial Intelligence and Expert Systems from the same institute. In 1990, they received a Post Graduate Certificate in Operations Management - Just In Time Techniques from California State University, Fullerton. Jose furthered their education by obtaining a Certificate in Manufacturing Productivity from Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica - ITA in 1994. In 1991, they obtained a Certified in Production and Inventory Control - CPIM from APICS - Sao Paulo. Jose also earned a VB.net Certificate in 2004 from Humber College. More recently, in 2014, they completed the CSCP - Certified Supply Chain Professional program from ASCM/APICS - Canada. Lastly, in 2015, they obtained a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certificate from RPM Academy. Jose has additional certifications, including Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), and Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM).
