Darryl Hill

Darryl Hill has a diverse range of work experience in education and consultancy. Darryl began their career as an Academic Coach, Mathematics at James Rickards High School, where they redesigned the course sequence for the International Baccalaureate Program and led a successful math team. Darryl then served as an Associate at Harvard University, managing principal interns' leadership development and providing professional development for school leaders across the country.

After that, they worked at Wake County Public Schools as the Director of Performance Strategy and Analytics, where they conducted policy analysis, program evaluation, and contributed to the district's strategic plan. Darryl then moved on to Fulton County Schools, where they served as the Assistant Superintendent of School Accountability and Governance. In this role, they led efforts to improve the effectiveness of local school governance councils and data systems.

Darryl Hill then joined the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation as a Senior Program Officer, leading engagement and collaboration with grantees on education initiatives. Darryl created tools and training to help colleagues make data-driven decisions and achieve strategic goals. Currently, they serve as a Managing Director at HCM Strategists, focusing on career and competitive learning for marginalized communities. Darryl develops partnerships to improve outcomes and believes in the transformative power of education and work-based learning.
