Aleca Hughes McPherson

Aleca Hughes McPherson has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Aleca currently works as the Head of Portfolio and Platform at Highland Capital Partners since 2023. Prior to that, they spent a significant time at Catalant Technologies starting in 2016. At Catalant, they held various leadership positions including Senior Director of Strategy & Business Operations, Director of Marketplace Strategy & Operations, Director of Marketplace, Enterprise Sales, and Senior Manager of Enterprise Sales. Aleca was responsible for driving critical business transformation projects, leading sales teams, and championing strategic alignment. Before joining Catalant, they worked at Hedgeye Risk Management as an Associate in Institutional Sales from 2013 to 2016. Aleca began their career at BlackRock as an Investor Specialist in 2012.

Aleca Hughes McPherson attended Yale University from 2008 to 2012 and obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in American Studies. In 2012, they participated in The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth's Tuck Business Bridge Program. Prior to their university education, they completed their high school education at The Hotchkiss School from 2004 to 2008. Additionally, they obtained certifications such as the Series 63 and Series 7 from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), as well as a Certificate of Completion from the Tuck Business Bridge Program at Dartmouth.
