Sarah Goodwin

Sarah Goodwin has worked in the field of childcare and operations management since 2002. Sarah began their career as Preschool Director at the Ludlow Community Center/Randall Boys and Girls Club, where they were responsible for licensing the first Ludlow Boys & Girls Club Preschool Program and supervising 9 educators. Sarah then moved into the role of Director of Operational Services/Operations/Unit Director at the same organization in 2012, where they directed and managed the overall daily operations of the facility, supervised 5 department managers with over 50 staff/volunteers, and delivered quality programming to over 500 members. From 2018-2020, they were the licensee for all of the childcare programs, ensuring quality programming and compliance with state and local regulations. Most recently, they have taken on the role of Site Director at HCS Headstart in 2021.

Sarah Goodwin obtained their Bachelor of Science in Education from Westfield State College in 2000, majoring in Elementary Education & Liberal Studies. Sarah also obtained an Associates of Science in Early Childhood Education from Holyoke Community College in 1998. Sarah has a number of certifications, including EEC Director II Certified from the Massachusetts Department of Early Education & Care (obtained in June 2001), EEC Lead Preschool Teacher Certified from the Massachusetts Department of Early Education & Care (obtained in August 2000), EEC Preschool Teacher Certified from the Massachusetts Department of Early Education & Care (obtained in January 1999), ServSafe Manager from the National Restaurant Association (obtained in April 2022), Certified Pool & Spa Operator (CPO) from the Pool & Hot Tub Alliance (obtained in December 2019), Adult/Child and Baby First Aid/CPR/AED Certified from the American Red Cross (obtained in September 2021), and CLASS Observer Pre-K from Teachstone (obtained in April 2022).
