Brian Balchunas

Brian Balchunas is an experienced leader in water infrastructure, currently serving as the East Region Wastewater Market Sector Leader and Senior Vice President at HDR since May 2013. Brian manages a team of over 65 professionals in the Water Business Group, overseeing study, design, and construction management for projects in Maryland, DC, and Northern Virginia. Prior to HDR, Brian held various leadership roles at Atkins from February 1996 to May 2013, including Vice President, where responsibilities included the development and implementation of water infrastructure projects in the Eastern Region. Brian holds a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from Caltech and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan.
