David DeWees

David joined Headlands Research with more than 25 years of experience as a leader and strategist in health care. Throughout his career, David has helped academic, federal, IDN, and health system senior executives make strategic decisions that have meaningful impact on the communities they serve. David is focused on enabling the development and execution of strategic business models that enhance health care systems services. David's role at Headlands Research will focus on integrating clinical trials into health care systems and provider networks in order to increase the number of people participating in clinical trials.

Prior to joining Headlands Research, David held various clinical, sales, and management positions within the transplant, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical sectors. Most recently, he was a health systems business development executive with Quest Diagnostics, a diagnostic information services company.

David earned a Master of Health Services Administration from the University of Kansas School of Medicine, a Master of Business Administration from University of Phoenix, and his Bachelor of Biology from the University of Missouri, Kansas City.
