Wizdom Powell

Wizdom Powell, PhD, MPH, CMHC, serves as the Chief Purpose Officer and Creative Diversity Director at Headspace. Previously, Wizdom Powell held the positions of Associate Professor of Psychiatry (Tenured) and Director of the Health Disparities Institute at UConn Health. As an Honorary Professor at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Wizdom Powell contributed to academic leadership. Additionally, Wizdom Powell was an Adjunct Associate Professor and held a Tenured Associate Professor role at UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health, progressing from Assistant Professor to Associate Professor. Wizdom Powell is also the President and Owner of The EvidenceWatch Collective, Inc. Educational credentials include a PhD and MS from the University of Michigan, along with a Postdoctoral Fellowship as a Robert Wood Johnson Health & Society Scholar specializing in Population Health from the University of California, San Francisco.
