Rene Toupin-Piper

Rene Toupin-Piper is a Senior Policy Analyst at Health Canada since March 2021, leading significant projects to enhance Canadian healthcare and develop a World Class Health Data System. Previous roles include Senior Policy Analyst in the establishment of the Canadian Drug Agency Transition Office, and a Policy Advisor at the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat, where Rene contributed to successful budget proposals totaling $48 million. Experience spans various positions, including Economist roles at Finance Canada and Health Canada, and participation in the Advanced Policy Analyst Program within the Government of Canada. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in International Relations with a specialization in Human Security and an Honours Bachelor of Public Affairs and Policy Management, both from Carleton University.
