Chief Operating Officer and Chief Nursing Officer, Betsy Mead, 2003 graduated from Pasco-Hernando Community with a Associates of Science in Nursing-Registered Nurse, 2005 graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing, 2010 Walden University graduated with a Master of Science in Nursing-Management and Leadership, 2017, graduated with a Master of Healthcare Administration. She has certifications in Medical Surgical and Certified Nurse Manager Leader. She also has affiliations with American Organizations of Nurse Executives and Tampa Bay Organization of Nurse Executives. In 2019 out of 28,400 employees, Betsy received the Daisy Nurse Leader Award an international award that recognizes nurse leaders that provide an environment for providing high quality care and compassion to their patients.
Betsy started off as a C.N.A. in a skilled nursing facility and moved into the acute care industry. From Floor Nurse to Director of Patient Care Services of a St. Joseph’s hospital (600+ beds). She was responsible for over 11 units and had over 500 FTEs under her leadership. She has held leadership positions in Collaboratives across BayCare Hospital Organization and lead many initiatives to improve efficiency, procedures, quality and customer service in different areas for the corporation. Betsy brings a wealth of knowledge from the acute care sector to help with the challenges of the Senior Care Industry to deal with the higher acuity heading to the business.
