Rashmi Acharya is an undergraduate research assistant at Penn Medicine, University of Pennsylvania Health System, since September 2023. Previously, Rashmi served as a research intern at Astrin Biosciences, where responsibilities included operating 3D printers for cancer cell identification and processing blood samples using microfluidic devices. Rashmi's experience also includes a quality management internship with Hennepin County's Ryan White Program, where transcription and qualitative analysis of focus group interviews were key tasks. As a Silverman Fellow at the Netter Center for Community Partnerships, Rashmi supported literacy programs and taught yoga to children. Other notable experiences include transcribing Alzheimer’s patient recordings at the Linguistic Data Consortium, serving as a student researcher at Gillette Children's, and engaging in human rights initiatives in Eden Prairie. Rashmi is pursuing a Master of Public Health at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, following undergraduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Minnesota.
