Sumaita Iqbal is a dedicated public health professional currently serving as a Health Career Connection Intern since June 2023, where significant contributions include leading research on the impact of recognition on socioeconomic progress and community welfare in the Little Bangladesh neighborhood. Previously, Sumaita participated in the Research Methodology Training Laboratory Fellowship at UC San Diego from October 2022 to December 2022, acquiring extensive laboratory skills and completing a rigorous 40-hour training program. Sumaita is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Public Health at UC San Diego, with an expected graduation in June 2025.
