James Abbott

James Abbott has over two decades of software engineering experience, currently serving as the Vice President of Software Engineering at Health Catalyst since August 2024, following the company's acquisition of Lumeon. James previously held various engineering leadership positions at Lumeon from January 2016 to August 2024, including VP, Director, Head, and Engineering Manager. Prior to this, James worked as a Senior Software Engineer for a contractor from June 2015 and held significant roles at Wildnet, Bond International Software (UK) Ltd, and as a freelance web developer. James began a career in technology as a Web Application Developer at BT. Academically, James holds an MA in Digital Special Effects and a BA (Hons) in Computer Visualisation & Animation, both from Bournemouth University.
