Becca Hayes, MD, MEHP has a diverse work experience in the healthcare field. Becca is currently serving as the Vice President of Clinical Affairs at the North Carolina Community Health Center Association since September 2022. Prior to that, they were the Founding Executive Director of The Center for Supporting Community Health starting from March 2022.
In 2021, Dr. Hayes co-founded PROTEA Innovation and assumed the role of CEO.
From 2018 to 2022, they worked at Community Health Care, Inc. where they held multiple roles, including Chief Medical Officer, Pediatrician, and Lead Physician. Becca joined the company as a Pediatrician in July 2018 and became the Lead Physician in May 2019. Dr. Hayes served as the Chief Medical Officer from May 2020 to February 2022.
Before joining Community Health Care, Inc., Dr. Hayes served as the Chief Resident at Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine from July 2017 to June 2018. Becca also completed their Internal Medicine and Pediatric residency at the same institution from July 2014 to June 2018.
Becca Hayes, MD, MEHP completed their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree at Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine. Becca then pursued a residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the same institution from 2014 to 2018. During this time, they also obtained board certifications in Internal Medicine and General Pediatrics from the American Board of Internal Medicine and American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) respectively. In 2015 to 2018, they furthered their education by completing a Master of Education (MEd) in the Health Professions at the Johns Hopkins University School of Education. In 2022, they earned a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt from the University of Michigan College of Engineering.
