Christian Pou

Christian Pou is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in business development and scientific research. Currently serving as the NGS Manager at Health in Code Group since April 2022, Christian previously held the position of Field Application Scientist at MGI, focusing on the Nordic Region. Christian's academic background includes significant roles at Karolinska Institutet, where contributions as a Senior Scientist and Postdoctoral Researcher spanned studies on immune system variations and the development of untargeted NGS approaches for virus discovery. A PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology was obtained from IrsiCaixa Institute for AIDS Research, centered on the clinical applications of HIV-1 sequencing. Christian also holds multiple master's degrees in relevant fields, alongside a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
