Kari Jones

Kari Jones serves as the Chief Data Officer at Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand, where a National Data Platform has been implemented to unify health sector data for improved integration and efficiency. With extensive experience in analytics leadership, Kari has held key roles such as General Manager of Analytics & Insights at Woolworths Group and General Manager Data Analytics & Agile Transformation at New Zealand Post. Kari is also active in various board positions, including board member roles at TUANZ and Stats NZ, and is an expert member of the International Institute for Analytics. Previous experience includes significant contributions at Air New Zealand as a Senior Product Manager focused on data analytics and AI, along with a successful tenure as the World Cup Head Coach for the New Zealand Women’s Lacrosse team. Educational credentials include a MSc in Computer and Information Sciences from Sheffield Hallam University and a BA(Hons) in East Asian Studies from The University of Sheffield.
