Ryan earned his Master of Physical Therapy from the University of Washington and post-professional Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Pacific University. His doctoral dissertation earned him publication in the Journal of Orthopaedic & Sports Physical Therapy (JOSPT) and propelled him into an accomplished career working for large physical therapy companies in Washington and Colorado. After working his way up to clinic director in Colorado, Ryan and his wife, Sarah, decided to move back home to Kalispell, Montana, where he eventually moved into private-practice ownership.
Before long, past employees and co-workers started contacting Ryan for advice on various operational and financial questions related to their physical therapy clinics. He quickly realized there was a huge need for better business training in the industry and the concept of HRS emerged. Together, Ryan and Blaine (co-founder of HRS) set out to create a company that would help physical therapists succeed by equipping them with the skills needed to create a thriving business.
When he is not managing the operational side of the HRS business, you will find Ryan and Sarah leading their twin boys on outdoor adventures in the form of water skiing , downhill skiing, and mountain biking. With a passion for youth athletics, Ryan is the active President of the Northwest Lacrosse Association – a 501(c)(3) focused on providing kids with an inclusive community to grow in athletics. And despite his propensity for a well-placed joke and genuine interest in people, Ryan is a jiu jitsu purple belt and enjoys practicing martial arts to stay active.
