Steve Issenman

SVP, Federal & External Affairs at HealthCare Institute of New Jersey

Steve Issenman is currently the SVP of Federal & External Affairs at the HealthCare Institute of New Jersey. Prior to this, they served as the Senior Federal Legislative Liaison at the State of New Jersey Department of Human Services, where they developed and implemented strategies designed to pass legislation supported by the Department. Steve also researched and analyzed the impact of emerging policies and legislation affecting the State.

Before their time at the State of New Jersey Department of Human Services, Steve served as the Deputy Campaign Manager for DiFrancesco for Governor/Franks for Governor, where they oversaw day-to-day operations of the campaign headquarters and staff. Prior to that, they were the Political Director for Franks for Senate, where they created the campaign field plan and coalitions programs while directing the statewide field operation.

Steve began their career in 1999 as an Inter-Governmental Affairs Representative in the Governor's Office of the State of New Jersey.

Steve Issenman has a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from Thomas Edison State University. Steve also has a Master's Degree in Political Science and Marketing from Kean University. Additionally, they have a PhD in Political Science from the University of Maryland - Asian Division.
