Dr. Jamila J. has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Dr. Jamila began their career as an Emergency Room Nurse at Hackensack Meridian Health in 2006 and later transitioned into the role of Director of Infection Prevention Department at Pocono Medical Center in 2009. Dr. Jamila then joined CarePoint Health System as the Director of Transitional Care in 2013. In 2015, they became an Associate Professor at Saint Peter's University. Most recently, Dr. J. served as the Director of Clinical Operations at HealthDrive Corporation starting in 2017.

Dr. Jamila further specialized in the field of nursing by completing a Master of Science (MS) degree in Adult Primary Care at Saint Peter's University from 2009 to 2011. Dr. Jamila J. continued their academic journey and achieved a Doctor of Science (DNP) degree from Saint Peter's University between 2012 and 2015. Finally, they are currently pursuing a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) degree, with a dual major in Finance and Healthcare Administration, at Saint Peter's University, expected to be completed between 2022 and 2024.
