Daria Simic has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry, with a strong focus on operations and leadership roles. Daria began their career in 1996 with Independent Private Hospitals Australia, where they held various senior managerial positions, including Finance and Operations Manager, Commercial Manager, and Hospital Director. During their time at IPHoA, Daria achieved significant revenue enhancements through the implementation of new profit drivers and identified cost savings through efficient labor management. In 2011, they joined Evolution Healthcare as the General Manager of Corporate Services and Projects, where they played a key role in the establishment and growth of the company. Daria also acted as the General Manager for Waratah Private Hospital during a transition period. In 2017, Daria moved on to Healthe Care Australia, where they served as the Deputy Chief Operating Officer for Mental Health, Rehab, and Regional services, and later as the Chief Operating Officer for Specialty Hospitals and Services. In 2019, they joined Aurora Healthcare Australia as the Chief Operating Officer.
Daria Simic pursued their education at the Medical College in former Yugoslavia from 1982 to 1986. During this time, they obtained an Overseas Qualification in Nursing with a focus on Nursing Education.
