Michael Imelfort

Michael Imelfort is an experienced professional in bioinformatics, data science, and software engineering. Currently serving as the Organiser for HealthHack since its inception in Brisbane in 2015, Michael has played a pivotal role in its annual execution at both local and national levels. Previously, at BRIDJ Technology, Michael specialized in data science and operations, developing mapping analytics and custom analyses. Michael's background includes significant roles at the University of Queensland and the University of Technology Sydney, where contributions were made to genomics projects, alongside experience at everydayhero and ThoughtWorks, focusing on software development and cloud infrastructure. Michael holds a PhD in Bioinformatics and has a solid educational foundation in Mathematics and Statistics.
