Jason Madar

Jason Madar has a diverse work experience that spans over several industries. Jason started their career as a Senior Database Administrator at E-xact Transactions, where they were responsible for converting the company's primary database from MSSQL to MySQL.

After that, Jason joined Capilano University as a Faculty Member/Coordinator, teaching software engineering courses and actively participating in curriculum development and committee work.

Jason then worked at iQmetrix as a Senior Software Developer, where they provided leadership and mentorship to the native client team and played a vital role in developing a cross-platform framework for their interactive digital signage software.

Jason also served as a Technical Advisor and later as the Chief Technology Officer at Vandrico Solutions Inc., where they contributed to the development of wearable technology solutions.

Jason then founded Codeca Educational Technology and Services Inc., with a vision of integrating coding education into K-12 curriculum. Jason developed a web-based package combining VR and coding, making it easily deployable in classrooms.

At Snakebyte Digitec, as a fractional Chief Technology Officer, Jason expanded the software development team's capabilities and managed technical operations.

Jason's experience also includes being an Expert Witness at Oyen Wiggs Green & Mutala LLP, where they provided expertise in a copyright infringement case by reviewing source code versions.

Jason served as the Chief Data Officer at Acticule Life Science, a company focused on developing small molecule therapeutics for infectious diseases using advanced screening facilities.

Currently, Jason is working as the Chief Technology Officer at HealthQb Technologies, Inc., overseeing the technical aspects of the company.

In addition to their professional experience, Jason was the Program Coordinator and an Instructor at Langara College, where they managed the Web and Mobile App Design and Development program and taught courses.

Throughout their career, Jason has demonstrated leadership, technical expertise, and a passion for education and technology.

Jason Madar completed a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Computer Science at The University of British Columbia from 1991 to 1999.
