Meera Raja

Meera Raja is an experienced pharmacologist with a strong background in drug discovery and preclinical development. Currently serving as a Principal Pharmacologist at Healx since January 2021, Meera has focused on leading internal drug matching projects for rare diseases. Previously, Meera worked as a Senior Scientist at Sygnature Discovery, where efforts were concentrated on assay development and expanding neuroscience capabilities. A postdoctoral researcher tenure at Cardiff University involved leveraging Next Generation Sequencing technologies to study genetic modifications in inherited tumor syndromes. Earlier postdoctoral research at the Beatson Institute for Cancer Research examined the targeting of ARK5 in cancer models. Meera's academic background includes a B.Sc. in Genetics from Cardiff University and extensive research experience from a PhD focused on colorectal cancer therapeutic strategies.
