Demaris Dotson

Demaris Dotson, MSIT has a strong background in information technology and systems administration. They most recently served as the Director of Information Systems and Technology at Heartland Alliance, where they provided strategic and operational leadership to the security, network, and systems administration teams. Prior to that, they worked as a System Administrator at Milwaukee Public Schools, supporting the district's cloud systems and ensuring strong cyber security policies. They also gained experience as a Network and Desktop Technician at Marriott International, providing end-user support and server configuration and management. Earlier in their career, they worked as a System Analyst at TTC, Inc., where they were responsible for user account management, operating system support, and system performance monitoring.

Demaris Dotson holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Information Technology from the University of Maryland Global Campus, which was earned from 2015 to 2017. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Business Administration, Management and Operations from Concordia University-Wisconsin between 2010 and 2014. In terms of certifications, Dotson completed a Project Management Professional Certification Training Course at PhoenixTS in 2015. Additionally, they received the Nessus certification from Cybrary in 2018 and obtained the CompTIA Security+ ce certification from CompTIA in May 2016.
