Chris Spellman

Chris Spellman has a significant work experience in the banking and financial services industry. Chris started their career in 1985 as a Senior Vice President at UMB Bank, where they worked as a Compliance Officer until 2002. During this time, they also held the role of Senior Vice President at UMB. In 2002, they joined American Sterling Bank as a Vice President and stayed with the company until 2006. From 2007 to 2013, they worked at Morrill & Janes as a Senior Vice President. In 2013, they joined Heartland Financial USA, Inc., where they currently serve as the Senior Vice President and Corporate Compliance Director. Additionally, they have been a member of the Executive Committee at American Bankers Association since 2001 and received the 2013 ABA Compliance Distinguished Service Award.

Chris Spellman attended William Jewell College from 1981 to 1985, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, Business Administration, and Political Science. Prior to college, Chris attended Raytown South High School from 1978 to 1981. Chris also holds a certification as a Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) from the American Bankers Association.
