W.D. Morris

W.D. grew up in Columbia, attending Heathwood from 4K until graduation (Class of 1992). He attended Clemson, earning a B.S. in Aquaculture, Fisheries, and Wildlife Biology in 1996. After Clemson, W.D. started his career in insurance, where his focus is on construction surety bonds. He is currently a partner with Propel Insurance.

W.D. has been very active in the Coastal Conservation Association of SC for over 20 years and is the current state treasurer and serves on the national finance committee. He has been a member of the Highlander Club for several years and is the current treasurer.

W.D. and his wife, Blair, have two sons: William (Class of 2022) and Henry (Class of 2026), and they are members of Eastminster Presbyterian Church.
