Lauren Weigle-Mates is an accomplished entertainment editor with extensive experience in media and public relations. Currently serving as the head of the entertainment vertical at Heavy since 2012, Lauren is responsible for successful coverage of TV, movies, and celebrity news. Previous roles include creating the entertainment and celebrity vertical at Heavy.com, freelance writing for various publications, and partnering in a public relations firm where Lauren produced events for New York Fashion Week. With a background in fashion design and event promotion, Lauren has also contributed to various magazines and worked with notable clients. Lauren holds a degree from Kent State University.
