Louisa Xu

Louisa Xu 王莎莎 is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in regulatory, risk, and compliance roles. Currently serving as Senior Legal Counsel and Lead Business Partner at Australian Payments Plus since November 2020, Louisa has led initiatives in regulatory compliance, including the Security of Critical Infrastructure Act, and supported innovative projects within the payments sector. Additionally, Louisa is a Committee Member for Hedera's Regulatory and Policy group and co-founded Blockchain Australia Young Professionals, fostering professional networking in the blockchain sector. Previous experience includes working as an Associate at Piper Alderman, where Louisa focused on blockchain and fintech regulatory issues, and as a lawyer in corporate, commercial, and litigation capacities. Louisa holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Technology Sydney, a Bachelor of Commerce from UNSW, and has participated in an exchange program at the University of Connecticut.
