Jay Parsons

Jay Parsons has over 26 years of work experience in finance and accounting roles. Jay is currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at HFR since July 2021. Prior to this, they worked at HFR Asset Management for 15 years as the Corporate Controller. Before joining HFR, Jay held the position of Finance Reporting Manager at Kraft Foods Group from 2004 to 2006. Jay also worked as the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis at Guggenheim Partners from 2000 to 2004. Jay started their career at GE Capital as a Senior Financial Analyst / Senior Accountant and worked there for 5 years from 1995 to 2000.

Jay Parsons earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Accounting from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, which they attended from 1989 to 1993. Jay then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Accounting and Finance at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business from 1999 to 2003. Jay also holds a CPA certification, although the specific institution and dates of obtaining this certification are unknown.
