Gary Mikaelian

Gary Mikaelian is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in research and development, currently serving as Chief Executive Officer at Hedgefog Research Inc. since January 2023. Previously, Gary held the position of R&D Manager at Nidek from July 2014 to February 2023. Before that, Gary worked at Physical Optics Corporation as Director of Emerging Technologies and Senior Research Scientist from March 2008 to July 2014. Gary began a career in optics as a Staff Scientist at Opto-Knowledge Systems, Inc. from November 2006 to March 2008. Gary earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physics from UC Irvine between 2000 and 2006.
