Peter van der Zanden

Peter Van Der Zanden has extensive experience in the yacht design and development industry, currently serving as General Manager of Design & Development and Engineering at Heesen Yachts since September 2007. In this role, Peter is responsible for overseeing the entire engineering process, from pre-design to delivery, for yachts ranging from 50 to 80 meters in length, managing five departments with a total of 55 full-time employees. Prior to this, Peter held project management positions at Expertise en InnovatieCentrum Binnenvaart and Oceanco, as well as a project coordinator/engineer role at Van der Giessen-de Noord. Peter began the career in the maritime field as a researcher at Damen Shipyards. Peter holds a Master’s Degree in Maritime Technology from Delft University of Technology, obtained between 1986 and 1991.
