Aleksi Mäkinen

Aleksi Martikainen is a skilled software developer with extensive experience in application refactoring and automation testing. Currently working at Gofore since May 2021, Aleksi specializes in refactoring Java/Spark/Spring applications to leverage Kubernetes Operators developed in Go, in addition to maintaining applications and creating automated test frameworks using Cucumber/Behave. Prior to Gofore, Aleksi held software developer positions at Nokia from March 2019 to May 2021, and at Patria from May 2017 to January 2019, where significant contributions included designing an automation testing system with Matlab for embedded systems and maintaining embedded systems in C. Aleksi's career began at Lelushoppi Saari Oy as a seller in 2012. Academic qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Information Technology from Tampere University of Technology, obtained between 2013 and 2020, and a Finnish Matriculation Examination from Kaurialan lukio, completed in 2013.
