John Rahaghi has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. John started their career in 2005 as a Weapons of Mass Destruction Analyst in the US Navy. John then served as a Military Liaison and Reports Officer, where they authored over 300 reports focused on the operational needs of the Navy. In 2010, they had an International Affairs Fellowship at The Glover Park Group, a strategic communications firm.
In 2013, John joined the Pentagon as a Presidential Management Fellow, where they wrote strategies for senior officials on social media usage and presented cyber threat analyses. John also served as a Presidential Management Fellow at the US Department of State, where they advised the Public Affairs Officer on emerging technologies and implemented social media and outreach strategies.
From 2015 to 2018, John worked at the White House as a U.S. Digital Service member, where they served as a Privacy and Security Product owner for the Login.gov Identity Management Project. John also led a 4-person product team that authored key Congressional reporting on the cost effectiveness of Federal IT programs.
In 2018, John joined Facebook as a Manager - Product Data Operations, Integrity. John then joined Expanse (formerly Qadium) in 2019 as a Strategic Engagement Manager with a Product focus, where they protected important organizations by discovering risks on the internet.
In 2020, John worked at Heirloom Cloud Corporation as the CTO/Product, where they preserved and digitized various types of media. John is currently working at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, where they are involved in product-related responsibilities.
John Rahaghi earned a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design with Honors from Northeastern University. After completing their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Master of Arts (MA) in Law and Diplomacy (MALD) at The Fletcher School at Tufts University, specializing in Security Studies and International Communication. In June 2020, John obtained a certification in Product Management: Building a Product Roadmap from LinkedIn.
